An address in the heart of Casablanca
The Immeuble Assayag stands at 1418, boulevard Hassan Seghir, in Casablanca. Raised in 1930 to the designs of the architect Marius Boyer, its three Art Deco towers make up one of the city's recognisable silhouettes — a familiar landmark in the urban landscape. Can the building be visited?
The Immeuble Assayag is a lived-in private residence: there are no drop-in visits, no ticket office and no regular opening hours. Its doors do open from time to time, however, for cultural events — exhibitions, film shoots or heritage occasions such as the Journées du Patrimoine (Casablanca's annual heritage open days). These special occasions are the chance to admire the great glazed screens that flood the stairwells with daylight, or to reach the terraces and their view over the city.

A living place, a shared respect
While the building gladly hosts exhibitions, film shoots and cultural events, it remains first and foremost the home of its residents. When it opens to the public, we ask every visitor for the greatest courtesy: to keep to the areas indicated, to respect the quiet of the place and to photograph with discretion. It is on that condition that these encounters between the public and this inhabited heritage can continue, in the spirit of hospitality that is the soul of the house.
