First the views from above: the city spreading around the building, its terraced roofs and its stepped towers, recognisable among all others. Then the street: a crowd between stands, a car parked at the foot of the façades, two women in haiks walking by, bicycles in a row, the building rising above an arcaded gallery.
The colour prints, from later years, show the Assayag in a city that has changed around it: new towers on the horizon, and the façade in its sand-coloured tone.
Postcards of the building are gathered in another album: “Old postcards”.
Old photographs gathered online; photographers and dates to be established.
